Abuses, Slander & Mudslinging by NFTE Alliance:- Well knowing that there is no chance of even getting a respectable number of votes, leave alone winning in the verification, NFTE – FNTO Alliance continues its abuses, slander and mudslinging against the United Forum unions, especially BSNLEU and its General Secretary, Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri. Being desperate, they have lost all codes of conduct and normal ethics that is to be maintained even during election. However, instead of getting more support, this has ridiculed them before the workers. In some meetings when such abuses were made against Com. Namboodiri, even their own members protested against such abuses. Such abuses and slanders will only result in further reduction in their votes, because the BSNL workers cannot be confused and misled.

Exodus from NFTE & FNTO:- Once the Fourth Membership Verification has started, large number of members of NFTE & FNTO has started migrating to BSNLEU. We have been reporting continuously about these exoduses from NFTE & FNTO. Already thousands of workers have deserted the sinking ship of NFTE Alliance. Even on the last day of the campaign, reports have come from many places informing about desertion from the above two unions. One is from Punjab and another is from Kerala, where even the last bastions of the NFTE have been already shattered. In Karnataka, except in Bangalore, almost all the district branches of FNTO have joined BSNLEU. Once the Verification is over and BSNLEU is recognized the exodus will continue in a large scale and these two unions will almost become irrelevant.

Govt. Pension – What is the stand of NFTE – FNTO Alliance:- Though in one alliance NFTE and FNTO differs on the issue of Pension. FNTO assures that the Pension issue is already settled. NFTE differs. It says that the pension issue is not settled.

NFTE Alliance – an Alliance of contradictions!

WILL NFTE GET MORE THAN 10% VOTES ON ITS OWN? 

Com. O.P.Gupta, then SG, NFTE, insisted at the time of first verification that only the first union should be recognised. NFTE got 35% and BSNLEU 30%. NFTE was recognised.

Now Com. O.P.Gupta, Patron, NFTE wants that all unions getting 10% be recognised.

Why this change of attitude? It is clear that BSNLEU will be the first union and NFTE has no chance of recognition. So for getting recognition to NFTE, the one union principle is dropped.

Why the proposal for recognition of 10% ?

It is also clear to Com. O.P.Gupta that NFTE alone cannot get even 15%. Hence his demand to reduce it to 10%.

Com. O.P.Gupta somehow wants that NFTE gets recognition even by changing the rules of the game, which he himself had made.

The great Dream of FNTO : FNTO has claimed about 1,38,000 votes for its alliance in next verification. We do not question the right of anybody to have a good day dream.

After its wonderful day dream, FNTO will wake up to find the reality - The NFTE-FNTO alliance losing heavily and losing deposit, if there was any deposit.

Let it have its day dream till 23rd January 2009!

NFTE - Negative Federation of Telecom Employees : During the last eight years in BSNL, the true colours of NFTE stands exposed again and again. It functioned and made agreements with management against the interest of workers:

1. Agreed for Corporatisation as wanted by Government, putting the future of 3 lakh non- executives in peril.

2. Agreed for VRS/CRS to retrench 50,000 workers.

3. Demanded for minimum wage of Rs.3,400 while BSNLEU and other unions demanded for Rs.4,400. It was settled for Rs.4,000 more than Rs.600 demanded by NFTE.

4. NFTE agreed for meagre perks. It was increased substantially after BSNLEU got recognition.

5. NFTE did not make any effort for Group Insurance Scheme, Loan Scheme, Promotion Policy etc. In fact, it made an agreement with Management that no new Promotion Policy should be introduced before wage revision. 

THE BSNL WORKERS WILL GIVE SUITABLE REPLY TO NFTE ALLIANCE IN THIS VERIFICATION. 

NOBEL AWARD FOR SLANDER, ABUSE AND FALSE PROPAGANDA : If there is a Nobel Award for slander, abuse and false propaganda, who will get the same in this Membership Verification?

There will be no competition. NFTE-FNTO Alliance can claim it 100%.

WHY SENIOR LEADERS OF NFTE KEEP AWAY FROM ELECTION CAMPAIGN? : 

Two senior most leaders of NFTE are absent from its election campaign. The names are well known.

What keeps them away from campaign? Whether they do not want to campaign or the present NFTE leadership don’t want them to campaign? Anybody’s guess.

However, NFTE workers themselves are wondering what had happened?

 SNATTA LEADERS ON THE CAMPAIGN MOVE: After the agreement with BSNLEU, the leaders of the SNATTA are moving along with United Forum leaders canvassing for BSNLEU. They understand that only the United Forum can solve their urgent problems. In most of the meetings addressed by Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, General Secretary, BSNLEU, SNATTA leaders and members were present in good numbers.

The propaganda by FNTO that SNATTA is with BSNLEU, but TTAs are with FNTO has been exposed. The move by FNTO to confuse the TTAs stands completely shattered.

 WHAT IS FNTO STAND ON DISINVESTMENT / IPO ?

· FNTO strongly supported Corporatisation in 2000.

· FNTO opposed Privatisation of BSNL when it was part of the United Forum.

· Now that FNTO is outside of the United Forum, whether it will support or oppose Disinvestment / IPO?
