Does anyone here have any experience with SSP and IBM Advance 36 (Model 436)? Most are dead or retired I believe, but I need to extract some files off of it. I have an Data Transfer Utility running that I can access and transfer files with a PC using a translation table. Its all pretty gravy. My problem is Ive printed a CATALOG of supposedly all the Library(s), File(s), and Folder(s) and I cant understand the file names/labels. They are something like DMB0044, DXM0010, DMM0050, among various others. I specifically need the customers file that has their contact information and items file with the item numbers and item descriptions. These should just be contained in a Customer Master File and Item Master File, but Im not seeing anything like that on the CATALOG printout. If anyone has any experience with old IBMs and wants to try to help me find which file houses that company data then Id greatly appreciate it. I will try to have a pdf ready of the CATALOG if you need one.
