I am now for this ORM framework, i did't understand the Criteria topic. So can you please explain. It maight be help full for me.

First of all u should be knoe about what is the meaning of ORM,object relation mapping.

here object means that, ur creating some object for ur code to run.
relation means maintaing a relationship between object and the DB.
mapping getting hibernate mapping.

the criteria topic is that when u r dealing with only know DB its ok through manual,but u r using another DB that is not known for u,then we can use this technology. here hibernate will take care of sql statements,connection to various DBs.
