Job Responsibilities



Yahoo! Mail team is looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer to join the team developing the next generation of Yahoo! Mail. You will be responsible for designing and developing the user interface and other application level software for high-end mobile devices such as iPhone and Android handsets. You will interact with many different teams and individuals, including User Experience Design, Product, QA, and other engineering groups.



Minimum Job Qualifications



- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent – 7+ years of relevant work experience developing in PHP, Javascript, DHTML and AJAX – 2+ years of mobile front-end development experience – Fast learner with strong problem solving and analytical skills. – Excellent written and verbal communications skills – Thorough understanding of mobile web architecture and technologies – Passion for developing innovative and state of the art mobile applications.



Preferable Job Qualifications



- Experience working with webkit-based browsers and knowledge of HTML5 a huge plus
