Description:
Ocucom is a leading developer and provider of software and consulting services to the global market research industry. We are seeking candidates for a Software Engineer position focusing on the development of web applications and Internet based user interfaces.



This is a telecommute position. Some travel may be required.



The primary responsibilities include:
• Designing, developing, testing and launching Internet based applications for core infrastructure components
• Communication with internal team members and external clients to gather specifications, coordinate project timing and establish goals
• Providing expert knowledge and advice about User Interface design and concepts for other team members and production staff
• Collaborating with other members of the development team as required on active projects



To qualify for this position, you should have at least a BS in Computer Science or a related field and have strong programming experience with JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS and AJAX. Strong experience with at least one JavaScript library such as jQuery, Ext or YUI is also required. Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks are essential for a successful candidate.



In addition, the following qualifications are desired:
• Experience with object oriented languages like C++ or Java
• Experience with web security & user management
• Experience with Flash and ActionScript
• Experience with SQL and relational database design
• Experience with web development for mobile devices
