The most common use for screenrooms in Florida and Australia is to enclose pools. After many years of building screenrooms for decks and patios here, north of the 49th parallel, we finally found a customer bold and forward thinking enough to have us install an enclosure over his pool. That has led to other large jobs. The long span over the water without supporting posts is the challenge. Obviously, we can build them just as big as in the warmer climates as long as it's summer. But when the snow comes, extra reinforcement and engineering comes into play. We have spanned up to 29 feet with success. When the span becomes too great to satisfy the engineer, we supply removable support posts for the owner to install under the beams for the winter months. These larger screen enclosures provide many hours of pool pleasure in the sunshine or moonshine without the bugs. It completely changes the way you enjoy your pool and pool deck areas.
