Patrick Edwards Injured

Houston Cougar’s WR Patrick Edwards suffered a serious injury to his leg due to a Marshall band cart that was left sitting in the endzone. Check out the video of Patrick Edwards injury below.


Ouch! Patrick Edwards of the Houston Cougars received a bad leg injury that will keep him out of the rest of the season or longer. The accident was caused by the Marshall band, who left their band carts by the endzone. Does anyone else smell a lawsuit coming?


“It was duly noted and I think we’ll save the conversation for another day,” [UH athletic director Dave] Maggard said. “I don’t think there is any question that it is a problem. We all noticed it, and we want to find out why something like that would occur. It was a serious injury, no question about it.”

Patrick Edward’s injury occurred in the 3rd quarter of Marshall’s 37 to 23 win over Houston. Houston Cougar’s QB Blake Joseph threw deep in the end zone to WR Patrick Edwards. The pass was too deep, and Edwards ran into one of the carts that was holding the band equipment. Patrick Edwards has suffered a compound fracture in his right leg.
