Lincoln HS star Lance Stephenson and teammate Darwin Ellis may have to wait until next month to learn the judgment in their sexual assault case. The case was adjourned Tuesday until June 29 by Judge Alexander Jeong in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Stephenson's attorney, Alberto Ebanks, continues to claim his client's innocence.
"We're maintaining the position we always have been," Ebanks said. "He didn't do anything wrong."
Stephenson, joined by his parents, declined to comment while exiting the court late yesterday morning.
Stephenson and Ellis were charged with allegedly groping a 17-year-old female student outside Lincoln High on Oct. 3.
The case could be dismissed or a plea bargain could be reached, Ebanks said.
Meanwhile, Stephenson has yet to choose a college. John Wall (Raleigh, N.C.), one of the most highly touted point guards in the nation, committed to Kentucky yesterday.
Arizona and Memphis remain on the radar as possible destinations for Stephenson, a 6-5 guard.
A source close to Stephenson doesn't believe the court case will further postpone his decision. Stephenson has postponed his commitment announcement twice, the last time on March 31, a day before he participated in the McDonald's All-American game in Coral Gables, Fla.

Lincoln High School up and coming basketball star Lance Stephenson can't keep his hands to himself, according to one female victim of his sexual abuse.

Lance Stephenson, who appeared in Brooklyn Criminal Court last Wednesday, is facing charges of criminal sexual abuse after groping and threatening a female student at the high school.


Stephenson, his basketball teammate Darwin Ellis and another male, an unnamed minor, are facing charges for allegedly groping, humping and threatening a 17-year-old female classmate.

More specifically, Stephenson has been charged with sexual abuse in the third degree, forcible touching, menacing and harassment after groping the girl's breast and telling her he would "slap the hell" out of her the next time she attempts to defend herself by hitting him.

Stephenson is due back in court on June 29th.
